and a power point for TV set.

Estimates
of the world's unelectrified population during the 1990s fell generally
in the range of 1.8-2.0 billion people occupying 300-400 million
homes, mostly in rural areas. While many industrial countries are
nearly 100% electrified, the World Bank estimates that in 1990 only
33% of rural developing-country homes were connected to electricity.
By region, estimated rural electricity connection rates for 1990
were 45% for East Asia and the Pacific; 40% for Latin America and
the Caribbean; 35% for North Africa and the Middle East; 25% for
South Asia; and just 8% for sub-Saharan Africa.
